Circa 1700-1740 France Small panel in Crewel Work or Cambrasine embroidered with polychrome wool dating from the first half of the 18th century. Fine cream twill canvas densely embroidered with baroque motifs. Medici vase loaded with Indian flowers, framed by a frieze with chimeras, scallop shell, ducal crown, winged serpents, lions, peacocks, parrots.... With assumed exoticism. Framing a later light green braid. Note a tiny period stoppage and small losses in the wool. Good structural condition and bright colors.
