Dague de Vertu, France 18th Century Blade length 115 mm Total length 230 mm Dague de Vertu, in other words 'Dagger of Prostitute', also known as 'Pique couilles' composed of a straight cruciform blade. Twisted horn handle worked on all sides with nickel silver trim and guard with two steel quillons. Nickel silver scabbard with small bail ring. The sheath is broken at its end with an attempt to repair it by soldering. In very good condition, the blade in all its length is flawless. Some minimal cracks to the horn sleeve. Ref TH2
