Anton Nelson – “children At Play, Girl With A Hoop” – Art Nouveau Sculpture In Patinated Bronze
A charming sculpture in regule with a bronze patina, titled “Children’s Games”, depicting a young girl playing with a hoop, based on a model by the sculptor Anton Nelson.
This composition, typical of the Art Nouveau period, illustrates the world of childhood with great naturalness and delicacy.
The young girl, dressed in a dress with puffed sleeves and wearing a wide hat adorned with a bow, is depicted in motion, holding her hoop and wand. The attention to detail in the face, the folds of the clothing, and the figure’s posture lends the piece great charm and expressiveness.
The sculpture rests on a circular, molded base, also made of bronze-patinated regule.
This late 19th-century production piece, dating from around 1900, is of fine craftsmanship and representative of the decorative art of that era.
In very good condition, with no damage or missing parts.
