Art Deco Wrought Iron Torch / Candlestick / Candlestick - Dans Le Goût d'Edgar Brandt Circa 1930
Rare Art Deco style and period wrought-iron torch or candlestick of remarkable craftsmanship, evoking the productions of the great French ironworkers of the 1920s-1930s, in the vein of Edgar Brandt and the great masters of decorative ironwork.
This piece features superb forging and hammering, with great mastery of the decorative techniques typical of this period: forged twists, hand hammering, stylized floral decoration and sober lines of great elegance.
Although no signature is present, the quality of execution clearly testifies to a high-level workshop. The finesse of the decoration, the balance of proportions and the richness of the surface work make this a particularly decorative and sought-after object.
Very fine condition, with a deep and even antique patina perfectly highlighting the relief of the metal and the quality of the craftsmanship.
A rare collector's piece, ideal in an Art Deco interior or for a lover of 20th-century French ironwork.
