Porcelain Lamp With Japanese-inspired Floral Design – Art Deco Style, Gilded Bronze In The Louis XVI Style

An elegant small table lamp from the early 20th century, combining a porcelain body with a Japanese-style floral design and a gilded bronze base inspired by the Louis XVI style.

It features a slender porcelain body adorned with a polychrome design arranged in alternating panels. Some panels, set against a bright yellow background, feature large pink and red flowers accompanied by green foliage, while others, set against a white background, display delicate floral arrangements in a variety of colors.

This Japanese-inspired design, reinterpreted in a European style reminiscent of Art Deco, stands out for its vibrant colors, the stylized flowers, and the contrast between the yellow and white backgrounds.

The porcelain is set in a gilded bronze frame inspired by the Louis XVI style, adorned with stylized foliage and beaded friezes. It rests on a circular, molded base, whose design is also repeated on the upper part of the frame, lending a beautiful sense of unity to the whole piece.

The lamp is topped with a small clip-on shade made of ivory-colored pleated fabric, accented with decorative gold braiding. Sourced from old stock dating back to the 1980s, this shade had never been used. It has been adapted to fit this lamp, providing a particularly elegant finish and a soft, warm glow.

The electrical wiring has been completely redone in our workshop. The lamp is in perfect working order, ready to install and use.
