Tiffany - Bronze "root" Candlestick
Artist: Louis Comfort Tiffany (1848-1933)
A bronze candlestick from the Tiffany Studios, model 1200, circa 1910, in patinated green and nuanced brown bronze. The base is root-shaped, with an openwork insert and three screws. It supports a tulip-shaped shade in Favrile "Plume Tirée" glass with rich iridescent reflections, featuring flowing motifs evoking feathers in shades of green and gold on a cream opal ground, engraved "LCT," Tiffany's personal signature. There is a tiny chip at the base, invisible when the shade is in place (see photo). Total height: 43.5 cm
