8 19th-century Botanical/pharmacy Vials
Set of eight botanical vials with their specimens
An interesting set of eight clear glass display vials on circular bases, each containing its botanical specimens: seeds and dried fruits.
Each vial bears an antique paper label, bordered by a double black line, with the botanical name handwritten in Latin. Notable examples include Acacia farnesiana, Nelumbium speciosum, Croton tiglium, and Cercis siliquastrum, among others.
The vials have an elongated shape with a rounded top and are sealed with a cork stopper at the base. This set evokes botanical and pharmacognosy study collections and would also be at home in a cabinet of curiosities.
