Silesian Woven Iron Pendant With Grape Cluster Enamel, 1820
This pendant is a rare example of Silesian craftsmanship featuring fine wires woven and braided into jewelry, a style popular in the early 19th century.
The central medallion is an enameled plate on a black background depicting two bunches of grapes on a silver-colored background with their green leaves. The openwork garland surrounding it, as well as the bail, are adorned with shiny, serrated round discs.
The metal is slightly oxidized on the surface.
