Shagreen Perfume Set With Two Crystal And Gold Bottles And A Funnel, 18th Century
This beautiful case, made of green shagreen, contains two elongated cut crystal bottles with their gold screw caps. Only one still has its small, internal emery stopper, which is not stuck.
The other is damaged at the neck. It has its tiny gold funnel! The hinge and pusher are 9-karat gold, tested with a touchstone.
The interior is lined with red velvet. The case shows signs of age without major damage and does not lock when closed. Unidentified hallmarks are present on each stopper and on the funnel.
The gold, tested with a touchstone, is between 14 and 18 karats.
In good condition, complete, dating from the 18th century, circa 1770.
