This Berlin Iron Cameo, head tilted to the right, represents a character from the Roman period.

It is part of a series sold separately (see last image). It bears the number 6 on the back.

It dates from the beginning of casting in Berlin around 1804/1810, Royal Foundry of Berlin Early 19th century, Georgian period, cast from an 18th century intaglio engraving.
Material: iron with black phosphorus patina.
Condition: exceptional quality, rare representation.
