19th Century Tortoiseshell, Silver, Gold-inlaid Case With Interior Fabric Pockets
Superb 19th century case in tortoiseshell, vermeil clasp and lid inlaid with a frieze and a gold numbered cartouche; with the initials IG I think (see photo).
* 19th Century *
The object is in beautiful condition! However, note a small wormhole on the front, at the edge of the junction with the lower part and two small breaks in the folds of the fabric inside forming a "wallet".
For information, the very small central pocket with closure and metal frame closes and opens perfectly.
A very very beautiful object!
