19th Century Silver And Crystal Clover Brooch In Its Antique Case
This superb brooch in the shape of an ornate clover is made of silver, entirely set with sparkling crystals.
The movement, details, and finish are worthy of a jeweler's work! It comes in a period burgundy leather case, decorated with gilt tooling, lined with cream satin and burgundy velvet, in excellent condition.
The brooch mechanism is perfectly functional, with a tubular joint and a C-shaped clasp, allowing the piece to be dated between 1870 and 1890.
The pin is steel. It bears a boar's head hallmark and a partially struck maker's mark (L and unidentifiable continuation).
