Porcelain Vase Depicting Napoleon at Jena, 1806 – Late 19th / Early 20th Century
Porcelain vase with lid, decorated in green and gold, featuring a polychrome scene depicting Napoleon on horseback accompanied by his officers during the 1806 Jena campaign.
The painted scene bears the signature “Garnier” at the bottom, while the base features the handwritten inscription “Jena (1806)” and a blue mark depicting crossed swords, of unidentified manufacture.
An interesting decorative object in the Napoleonic style, likely made between the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Height with lid: 21 cm; Maximum diameter: approximately 15 cm
In good overall condition, with normal signs of age and slight wear to the gilding. The lid has an old crack that was restored with particular care and is barely visible.
