An exceptional set of six conical stemmed glasses or goblets made of cast crystal, embellished with a rich decoration painted in fine gold.
The glass body features relief work typical of the mid-19th century, structured by flat ridges alternating with raised almond motifs.
The rim and central motifs are enhanced by fine gold gilding forming scrollwork and intricate geometric patterns. Each piece rests on a projecting ring and a faceted, beveled stem with a circular base.
This model and its complex geometric motifs are characteristic of the productions of the House of Baccarat (a model listed in the first joint Baccarat and Saint-Louis catalogs around 1840 under the designation “violet vases” or “footed goblets”).
