A beautiful 18th-century Flemish school drawing, executed in ink, depicting a lively landscape of rocks and vegetation, with a fisherman holding his fishing rod at the center. The drawing is decidedly understated and refined. A collector’s stamp appears in the lower right corner, corresponding to Lugt number 2059—an unidentified mark often found on high-quality early Flemish drawings. It is mounted on an antique mount with black and gold fillets and set in a more recent frame featuring pearls and heart-shaped motifs, which is highly decorative and measures 32 x 37 cm. The ensemble is very harmonious!
