Superb little pair of 18th-century oils on copper (foreign school (Flemish?)), dated lower center 1750 and 1751 respectively, and mogrammed BD (to be identified), depicting lively landscapes of peasants with their animals against a background of ruins. Beautiful proportions and perspectives, set against an azure sky. Mahogany frames and dark-brown velvet mats harmoniously set off the picture. Size of each frame: 20.5 x 22 cm approx.
