Large 19th Century Color Engraving, 18th Century Taste, Pastoral By Ap. J. B. Huet (1745-1811), Demarteau
Artist: D'après Jean Baptiste Huet (1745-1811)
Very large and beautiful 19th-century engraving based on a pencil drawing by Jean Baptiste HUET (1745-1811), often engraved by the DEMARTEAU engraver. This is a lively pastoral scene of shepherds and sheep in an environment of ruins and vegetation, very much in vogue in the 18th century. This fine print is beautifully framed with a passe-partout, wash and gilded fillet, and features an attractive gilded baguette that sets it off harmoniously. Dimensions: 37 x 45 cm.
