Very fine pair of 19th century Swiss engravings, the first entitled "La belle Fruitière Vaudoise au pied de la Cité de Lausanne" after Joseph-Eugène DESVERNOIS (1790-1872) and the second "La Fille au bain ou la Paysanne galante du canton de Berne" after Gabriel LORY (1763-1840). They depict young women wearing traditional local outfits in a characteristically architectural city setting. The ensemble is very decorative, with fresh, more recent passe-partouts and their varnished, dark-wood chopsticks. Dimensions of each frame: 33.5 x 26.5 cm.
