Very beautiful animated scene of an Italian street in brown ink and brown wash from the end of the 18th century attributed to Louis-Nicolas de LESPINASSE (1734-1808) or to Claude THIENON (1772-1846), the student of MOREAU and MONTERARE. In its current state, the attribution to LESPINASSE, this knight of the royal and military order of Saint-Louis and academician. seems more likely in the absence of a signature. Beautiful work of perspectives and light, all in nuances and gradients, magnificently framed with a green mat beveled with gold and a beautiful more recent cade. The whole is very decorative!
