Hunting Trophy, Hare And Partridge, Single-wood Panel, Black Forest (?) 19th Century

Hunting trophy, specifically from a forest hunt, featuring a partridge and a hare in bas-relief, both suspended upside down on a single-piece wooden panel with a dark patina. The entire piece is mounted and secured to a plywood panel covered with 20th-century green fabric. It has a hanging hook on the back. France or the Black Forest, 19th century—more likely from the early part of the century than the late part, or even predating the 19th century. As I am not a specialist but rather a generalist, I deliberately wish to remain noncommittal regarding the dating, as I do not wish to assign a date that might later prove inaccurate. I’m basing this on the stylized depiction of these animals and the patina of the wood, which seems to correspond well to early 19th-century work.
In very good overall condition, with a beautiful and pleasing antique patina.
