Nicolas Sinezouboff (Nikolai Sinezubov) is a leading Russian painter and graphic artist. A graduate of the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture, he was part of pivotal Russian avant-garde movements such as the Makovets association (of which he was a founding member). In 1922, his works were exhibited at the famous First Exhibition of Russian Art at the Van Diemen Gallery in Berlin. He settled permanently in France (first in Paris, then on the French Riviera) in the late 1920s, becoming a full-fledged member of the School of Paris. His works are now held in prestigious public collections, notably at the Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow, as well as in international private collections.
