Antique painted fir wood chest, dated 1807. The piece features three arched panels on the front with polychrome floral motifs, original finishes, and bears a period inscription on the lower band. A carefully selected piece for connoisseurs of antique Alpine chests.

Painted fir wood chest, dated 1807 on the front.
The piece features a forest-green background and is defined on the front by three arched panels. Each panel contains, against a light background, a stylized floral motif painted in polychrome shades of red, black, and ochre.
The lower band bears an inscription painted in red varnish containing the date “1807” and the initials of the artist or the patron.
The sides are decorated with panels on a light background featuring geometric frames and stylized curvilinear motifs. The lid’s upper surface features two large rectangular panels with plant motifs.
