Description:

Exceptional painted cabinet featuring a two-door front and beveled sides. The upper section features a shaped cornice, centered by a projecting cartouche bearing the date “1804”.

The surface is treated with a gray-blue base tone, upon which the painted decoration is applied. The doors and side panels feature rectangular geometric panels defined by dark moldings and fillets. Inside the four panels on the doors are depicted four architectural landscapes in an idealized style, characterized by towers, castles, fortifications, and villages set in hilly landscapes, executed in monochrome gray and white on an orange-ochre background.

The connecting areas of the structure, particularly the band beneath the cornice and the central section between the upper and lower panels, are embellished with polychrome floral garlands and tendrils, dominated by shades of pink, red, and leaf green. The beveled sides and flanks echo the same geometric and decorative layout.

The cabinet retains its original hardware, including the large vents and exposed wrought-iron and openwork hinges positioned along the central joint. The keyholes are particularly refined, featuring finely chiseled crescent-shaped decorations with anthropomorphic details, as is the lock, complete with a key and in perfect working order.

The base rests on flattened onion-shaped feet, which support the entire structure while preserving its slender and balanced silhouette.

Internally, the cabinet retains its original layout, with the original vertical partition. The space can be customized to suit your needs, with shelves and/or a coat rack.
