Oil painting on panel depicting an alpine landscape dominated by the snow-covered peak of the Rietzer Grieskogel, located in the Innsbruck area of Austria. The scene is built through substantial material layering, with dense impasto and raised applications achieved using a palette knife. The pictorial surface features an irregular texture, characterized by overlapping layers of paint and visible incisions in the pigment.
The composition highlights a main mountain placed at the center, with steep slopes rendered through variations of blue, ochre, and white. On the left side, two slender trees stand out, set within a rocky slope treated with a range of deep greens and earthy tones. The lower section presents sparse vegetation and rocks, while secondary peaks appear in the background, shaped by luminous contrasts.
Available with a custom-made antique fir wood frame measuring 7 cm (2.76 in), crafted in our restoration workshop.
