The vertical composition features, in the foreground, a dense bush of white peonies with pinkish hues, rendered with thick, textured brushstrokes. In the central portion of the canvas stands a plant arrangement featuring garden roses in various shades of pink and lilac. The background suggests the garden extends beyond the frame through tones of green and yellow foliage bathed in diffused light.

The painting technique is characterized by the thick, impasto application of paint, visible both in the flower petals and in the rendering of the foliage. The work is preserved in its original carved and gilded wooden frame featuring an intertwined laurel leaf motif.
