Description:

Single-door cabinet with beveled edges, made entirely of painted fir wood, dated 1801 on the upper molding. The piece features a matte blue-azure background, adorned with polychrome floral decorations.

The front is dominated by a single framed door, divided into two main quadrangular panels. Each inner panel features a dark background framed by brick-red fillets and corner decorations, within which symmetrical compositions of bouquets, garlands, and stylized flower petals in shades of red, white, and ochre are depicted. The upper part bears a dedicatory inscription in red cursive script, flanked by the date 1801.

The top band is defined by a striking projecting grooved cornice, embellished with a light-colored band decorated with a continuous motif of floral tendrils and buds. The lower section houses a pull-out chest of drawers, decorated in a matching pattern of symmetrical ramages on a light blue background, set atop a molded plinth that outlines the entire base of the piece, resting on onion-shaped feet. The chamfered sides feature the same background hue, embellished with isolated vertical floral bouquets that lighten the piece’s geometric volume. The hardware includes an original wrought-iron lock and key.
