Important Silver-plated Metallic Lace Trimming - 5.40 M - Art Nouveau Period

This silver lace, crafted with metallic threads on a textile base, is characterized by its great length and refinement.
The rich, geometric design, featuring openwork honeycomb patterns and waves, is typical of Art Deco.
This rare piece dates from the Art Nouveau period, the late 19th to early 20th century. This type of lace was used for liturgical ornaments, such as Catholic church altars, or for vestments like chasubles.
It is in good condition, though there is a very small tear on one edge—which can be easily repaired—and approximately 50 cm of the lace appears more oxidized and darker at one end.
