Set of 11 large antique damask linen napkins in a slightly off-white, linen-like color. Very generous size: 77 x 75 cm. Near mint condition – recently used for the first wash. Washed, ironed, and lightly starched. The damask features a richly figurative hunting scene: hunting horns, riders, horses, stags, dogs, boars, and rabbits are depicted in an elegant and finely woven pattern, typical of 19th-century formal linens. Each napkin is adorned with a very refined MD monogram, with hand-embroidered scrolls. Note: Two small rust spots accompanied by two tiny needle holes (likely from old storage clips). The set remains in very good condition. Ideal for a formal table, country home, or antique trousseau.
