Large antique damask tablecloth in pure white linen, of exceptional size: 346 cm x 133 cm. The damask features a rich figurative design of birds in full display surrounded by floral bouquets, woven in a late 19th/early 20th-century style. The weaving creates a subtle relief and a beautiful depth in the interplay of white on white. In the center, opposite each other, are two very large AB monograms, embroidered in relief and surmounted by a large embroidered wreath. The monogram and wreath together measure approximately 16.5 cm x 18 cm. This is a crowned tablecloth, a type of piece that is uncommon on the antique linen market.
