Antique Damask Table Linen Set, Oval Tablecloth And 11 Napkins, Monogrammed "gp," Late Napoleon III Period

An elegant antique table setting consisting of an oval tablecloth and eleven matching napkins, crafted from damask linen of exceptional quality, dating from the late Napoleonic III era to the early Belle Époque, circa 1880–1900.

Crafted from linen yarn of remarkable quality, this set captivates with its silky-smooth, luminous, and slightly lustrous fabric, showcasing all the refinement of the finest linens of that era.

The damask features a delicate, tone-on-tone woven floral pattern of great elegance, accentuated by an elegant red “GP” monogram, finely embroidered on each piece.

The oval tablecloth is edged with delicate antique lace that harmoniously accentuates its outline. The napkins feature several different lace patterns, reflecting the customs of days gone by when certain pieces were replaced or added over time, while maintaining perfect overall harmony.

Condition

The set has been washed, ironed, and starched by me, ready for use.

Please note:

• two old repairs on the tablecloth, perfectly secure;
• a few slight foxing spots along the edges of three napkins.

Aside from these minor details, the linens are very clean and in excellent condition.
