A magnificent antique table linen set, originally owned by a prominent French noble family.

This remarkable set is crafted from the highest-quality damask and represents some of the finest home linens ever produced. Its weave is particularly fine, supple, and silky, offering an incomparable sheen and a sumptuous drape.

The damask pattern is exceptionally rich: majestic Medici vases from which long garlands of flowers cascade, large bouquets, foliage scrolls, and flower-filled baskets at the corners compose an elegant design inspired by Art Nouveau. A refined pattern that reveals itself differently depending on the light.

Two elegant GC monograms, embroidered in satin stitch, adorn the tablecloth, while each of the 11 large napkins—also damask—features the same design and monogram.

Condition

The set is in very good condition.

The only thing to note:

• Six napkins have minor imperfections in the fabric, which do not affect their use.
• The tablecloth has a few very subtle flaws along the edge, due to its history.

These slight flaws are minor given the exceptional quality of this magnificent set.
