A substantial antique dinner service comprising a large tablecloth and fourteen enormous matching napkins. The tablecloth measures 5.40 meters long by 2.45 meters wide. Exceptional dimensions, ideal for formal receptions. Beautiful damask with a high silk content, featuring a refined figurative design of medallions, cherubs, birds, scrolls, and garlands, in the style of Louis XVI decor revisited in the late 19th century. Double monogram hand-embroidered in relief. The set dates from the late 19th century – Belle Époque (circa 1880-1905). Very good condition. Note: Recently stored, needs cleaning. Two minor weaknesses in the weave are visible. A small hole is located approximately 65 cm from one edge. These are insignificant given the size and quality of the service.
