Superb large antique sheet, hand-embroidered with an RCB monogram surmounted by a marquis' crown. The whole piece features spectacular raised embroidery, with a total height of 19.5 cm (crown included) and a width of approximately 17 cm, beautifully occupying the center of the sheet. Made from high-quality linen and cotton thread, with a soft and luminous feel, this sheet illustrates the refinement of 19th-century castle linen. The hem at the feet is entirely handmade. An old hand stitching extends the sheet to approximately 80 cm from the foot. A few small holes need to be mended (see photos), without altering the beauty or solidity of the whole.
