Daenerys" Curtain, Hand-embroidered Filet Lace
A beautiful net-lace doorway curtain, embroidered with a magnificent Renaissance-inspired design; made of twine-colored linen. The central motif depicts a winged deity or female figure surmounting two protective winged griffins that face each other, framing the base of a large candelabra or tree of life. Foliage scrolls and volutes, featuring stylized cornucopias and vegetal arabesques, are characteristic of Neo-Renaissance style. The twine color of the linen, the fine net mesh, and the embroidered detailing are unusual, lending this curtain a distinct, rustic, and original charm. The panel—which is highly translucent when backlit—measures 230 cm in height (plus 10 cm of fringe) by 140 cm in width. A few brass rings are missing, but the remaining ones can easily be repositioned.
