It reproduces the judgment of the Douai Assize Court dated January 6, 1818, sentencing Benoît Dupas, a 29-year-old day laborer, found guilty of stealing a donkey in Féchain, to five years’ imprisonment and one hour of public display in the stocks in the town square of Douai.
