Iron tsuba, openwork (sukashi) featuring a three-petaled flower and inlaid with plant motifs and small support bars made of precious metals—gold, shakudo, and silver. The edge of the tsuba features high relief, which required a long and precise hammering process. The design is simple and airy, executed with the finest craftsmanship and great elegance.
