This statuette is made of polychrome wood and dates from the late 18th or very early 19th (1750–1850). It stands 28 cm tall.
This saint carries a basket filled with bread on his left arm and holds a cup in his right hand, a symbol of a group known as
the “mendicant orders.” The patina of this statuette is particularly well done and gives it a real sense of presence.
