Mid-18th-century Louis XV Desk In Solid Walnut
An elegant, slanted Louis XV-style desk from the mid-18th century, originating from “Parma” in the Emilia region, crafted entirely of solid walnut. Featuring a dynamic silhouette, it has a slanted writing surface with a drop-leaf top and three drawers in the lower section—two small side drawers and one larger central drawer. Opening the drop-leaf reveals four small drawers on either side of the writing compartment and an open shelf in the center, with a large writing surface covered in leather. It features cabriolet legs with the lower ends adorned with gilded bronze finials. Finally, the writing desk is embellished with its original gilded bronze hardware. A piece of great elegance and practicality, this desk is designed to be a centerpiece, as it is finished on all four sides. It is worth noting that the desk is still in its original condition; however, if interested, we can also arrange for restoration work to be carried out personally by us in our workshop.
