"Pair Of French Porcelain Centerpieces From The Second Half Of The 19th Century, 1867"
Elegant pair of 19th-century French porcelain centerpieces, dated 1867 on the bottom, produced by CH PILLIVUYT & CO., a renowned porcelain manufacturer founded in 1818. The mark on these two baskets not only identifies the manufacturer's mark but also indicates that the company received a gold medal at the Paris Exposition in 1867. In a Neoclassical style, made of white porcelain, they feature an elegant basket shape with a reticulated upper section and a central stem shaped like scrolls enriched with festoons, resting on a circular base, fully decorated and bearing a monogram depicting an S and an F. The base of the basket is entirely decorated with an acanthus leaf motif. The two centerpieces are all decorated with pure gold and are in excellent condition, with no cracks, chips, or chips. There is some slight wear on some areas of the gold decoration, but this does not affect their value.
