"Meissen Porcelain Candlesticks. "
These Meissen porcelain candlesticks feature the "onion" decoration, in blue on a white background. They rest on a contoured foot, and their rocaille form, composed of scrolls, curves and counter-curves, and scattered plant motifs, is particularly exuberant. They are assembled in two parts: the socket and the stem and foot. They are marked on the reverse with the crossed swords mark, used from 1814 to 1860, and on the front of the base, within a very small reserve. In very good overall condition, there are nevertheless a few almost invisible chips on the bases. Mid-19th century. Height 17 cm, base diameter 11.7 cm.
