Swiss Money Changer's Table, 17th Century.
This Swiss table is made of walnut and walnut veneer. It rests on four turned legs joined by a rotating stretcher. It has a drawer in the apron, and the top is inlaid with geometric patterns around the edge. The center of the top is a slate slab. The feet, beneath the stretcher, are small, flattened spheres. In good overall condition, the top shows some wear to the veneer and a few small losses in the stringing and other motifs. Dimensions: height 83 cm, top 98 cm x 62 cm.
