"Pair Of Candelabra In Gilt Bronze And Sevres Porcelain, France, 19th Century"
A large pair of 19th-century French candelabra made of mercury-gilded bronze and Sèvres porcelain. The vase-shaped central part is made of cobalt blue Sèvres porcelain, typical of the manufacturer. The sides are adorned with lion figures, with a handle inserted into the mouth, and the central part is decorated with a garland of leafy and floral motifs. The upper part of the candelabra consists of a central arm and five curved arms, each crafted and decorated with vegetal motifs, including scrolls and curls. The arms are of a distinctive, so-called graduated design, larger at the back and slightly smaller at the front. The pedestal base of the candelabra is fully crafted and decorated with bracket feet centered with a vegetal motif.
