Elegant 18th-century French Louis XV "tombeau" chest of drawers, stamped under the top with J.B. Fromageau "1743 - 1793." Curved and rounded, it is entirely made of slabs of violetwood and rosewood. It features a five-drawer front, with three small drawers under the top and two large drawers underneath. The drawer fronts are inlaid with floral motifs in various woods, as are the curved sides, also inlaid with floral motifs in various woods. It features elegant and rich gilded bronze trim and is topped with an original Breccia Argentum marble top.
