Louis XV Style Mahogany And Rosewood Marquetry Secretary Desk, 20th Century
A Louis XV style drop-front secretary desk from the 20th century. Made of solid oak and rosewood mahogany veneer, with elegant butterfly wing frieze. The front opens with a drop-front writing surface, covered in green leather tooled in gold, revealing an interior fitted with a writing surface and two drawers, offering a functional and discreet workspace. The lower section has two doors providing additional storage and an adjustable interior shelf. The secretary rests on slightly cabriole legs and is topped with its original 3cm thick veined gray marble slab, highlighting the quality of its craftsmanship. The gilt bronze keyhole escutcheons and decorative elements complete the piece with refinement. Two original keys and working locks are included.
