Large oil on canvas, signed in the upper part (“B. Rimo” / “Brimo”), depicting an elegant, lively scene of a Parisian boulevard. This work offers a very vibrant composition, animated by numerous figures rendered with energetic and colorful brushstrokes, in a luminous atmosphere typical of Parisian painting of the second half of the 20th century. The painter works here with a palette knife, with a confident and generous handling of the paint: broad impasto, textural effects, dynamism in the foliage and facades, and a fresh, contrasting palette. The whole creates a refined, highly decorative urban scene, reminiscent of the prized aesthetic of Parisian studios active in the 1960s–1980s.
