A Louis XV period slant-front desk in solid mahogany. It opens with a drop-front, revealing three drawers and two doors. The interior features a writing surface covered in braided leather (a later addition), six curved drawers, a secret compartment, and pigeonholes. It has cabriole legs and oak drawer bottoms. In good, functional condition, with panel joints intact and a new lock on one drawer. Stamped twice and bearing the JME guild mark.
