Louis XV Period Walnut Sloping Desk Forming A Secretary

Very beautiful Louis XV period secretary in walnut, forming a sloping desk.
Some also say donkey's back but this is not the correct terminology.
Dating from the 2nd half of the 18th century, this sloping desk is the ideal size for working.
It is made of a very beautiful walnut with a waxed patina of a beautiful blond honey color.
A piece of furniture from the Rhône Valley.
The sides are very nicely curved and highlight the undulations of the furniture that can be found on the front, the fretted flap as well as the crosspieces.
It rests on 4 curved legs.
The front has three drawers decorated with their antique bronze handles.
A large drawer at the bottom and two smaller ones on the sides, they enclose a secret cache.
The secretary part opens with a fretted flap onto an interior worked with multiple curved drawers. The interior of the flap is lined with embossed green leather gold.
the felling is supported by a pair of original wrought iron compasses which allow to work without any problem, the flap is supported and can support a significant weight.

Inside a trapdoor which locks with a trick allows access to a secret compartment.
