Pair Of Lc3 Armchairs – Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, And Charlotte Perriand For Cassina
Pair of LC3 armchairs – Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret & Charlotte Perriand for Cassina – I Maestri Edition – circa 1978–1981
An elegant pair of LC3 armchairs produced by Cassina as part of the prestigious I Maestri collection, based on the famous model created in 1928 by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, and Charlotte Perriand.
The armchairs feature an exposed chrome-plated tubular steel frame—characteristic of the model—supported by thick black leather cushions that offer remarkable comfort. The original back straps and the serial numbers engraved on the frame attest to their early production by the Italian manufacturer Cassina.
This pair bears the engraved references LC3 007292 and LC3 007294, closely matching serial numbers that confirm they are a matching set.
A vintage edition likely produced in the late 1970s or early 1980s.
In very good overall condition.
The armchairs display a beautiful patina of use consistent with their age. The leather shows some normal signs of use as well as slight superficial scratches, without affecting the aesthetic quality or comfort of the set.
The chrome frame shows subtle signs of age, and the webbing is in good working condition.
