The work depicts a pointing dog (Setter type) crouched in the reeds at the water’s edge, watching for mallards to take flight. A composition of great finesse, perfectly capturing the atmosphere of waterfowl hunts.
Original etching (etch) enhanced with period colors; the overall condition is good with a few imperfections due to age.
