Early 18th-century Louis XIV-régence Chest Of Drawers In Rosewood Veneer
Louis XIV-Régence Parisian chest of drawers from the early 18th century, slightly curved, inlaid with geometric rosewood frieze, probably in its original varnish, opening with four drawers in three rows, two small ones at the top and two large ones at the bottom, separated by wide brass fluting also found on the rounded front jambs. Drop handles and key escutcheons in chased ormolu.
Sides featuring a diamond pattern.
Superb Aleppo Breche marble top, the color of which harmonizes perfectly with the body of the cabinet.
Fir wood frame, walnut drawer bottoms.
Good condition. Strong structure. Some minor veneer wear.
